Preface: Central Research Facility (CRF) and Santosh Startups Forum (SSF) in collaboration with Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) of Santosh Deemed to be University, celebrated National Startup Day on 16th January 2023.

Objectives: National startup day is an annual event which is celebrated to recognize and celebrate the success of the startup industry It is a day when budding entrepreneurs, established business owners, and government officials come together to celebrate the success of the startup industry and discuss ways to improve it. This day provides a unique opportunity to recognize and celebrate the hard work and dedication of entrepreneurs across the country. This day offers a unique opportunity to appreciate the hard work and dedication of entrepreneurs and the positive impact they have on the economy.

Execution: The event started with the emphasis and importance of Idea generation, Incubation, Prototype making and introduction of Institution's Innovation Council and Santosh Startups Forum. Apart from motivational singing and short act plays, an interactive FUN-LEARN session was also organised by the Central Research Facility, based on the theme: IDEA TO INNOVATION. Students were asked to make an innovative model out of the waste products, provided to them. Total 7 working models were presented by the students in groups, out of which 1 idea was found to be very innovative, which was selected by SSF for further guidance, support and incubation with a view to turn into a business idea.

Event was organised by Central Research Faculties and IIC members Dr.Jyoti Batra, Dr.Neeti Mittal and Dr.Sanjeev Tomar and was attended by eight faculties and 180 students from Santosh Medical and Dental College. Event was concluded with vote of thanks by Dr.Sanjeev Tomar.

Outcome: Students learned that Entrepreneurship has been an integral part of our economy since the beginning and National startup day is a reminder of the importance of entrepreneurship. In the early days, entrepreneurs helped to build the nation through their innovative ideas and hard work. Today, entrepreneurs are still providing invaluable contributions to the economy. They are creating jobs, generating revenue, and driving innovation.
