MENTORING THE MENTORS

A Self Driven Event named “Mentoring the Mentors” was conducted in association with Central Research Facility and Santosh Startup Forum. Incubation Manager, Ms. Indu Rani,explained the basics of Entrepreneurship and Startups, including how to come up with great business ideas, how to validate them and how to motivate students to come up with their own Startup ideas for a greater change in the society.The Faculties play a very important role in channelizing the energy of students by providing proper guidance in research activities so the main objective of the activity was motivating the mentors to encourage their students to come up with their Startup ideas, take risks, explore different options and make decisions.

1. The event started with the Introduction of Santosh Startup Forum, SSF by its Incubation Manager, Ms. Indu Rani with an overview about the Startup and Entrepreneurship facilities that are being offered by the Santosh Deemed to be University.

2. She explained the objectives, roles and functions of SSF in promoting the Startup Culture in the university. Through the event, she explained the major role the faculties in promoting the Startup mindset among the students. She also made the mentors aware about the Scope, Objectives and Benefits of the Entrepreneurship Development Course.

3. Dr Sanjeev Tomar added his thoughts on Mentor Mentee program and need for of motivating the students to come up with their Startups

The event was indeed very informative for the faculties. Mentors were explained the importance of their role as a great force for promoting entrepreneurship in the university.
