As you all know that Santosh Deemed to be University has launched its Startup Policy and actively working to promote Incubation and Innovation and foster successful entrepreneurs. In this regard, we are pleased to inform that the Central Research Facility is organizing an Awareness Workshop on Startup Policy: Objectives and Benefits for its Faculty/ Non-Faculty and Students. It is a great learning opportunity to understand how our Startup Policy will help our Faculty members to get the best of the policy as well as channelize their research, patents and turn it into startup ideas.

This 30-minute workshop aims at making the participants aware of the following:

1. Incentive, benefits of the Startup Policy for the faculty and students.

2. Why faculty should Create Innovation Pipeline and Pathways for Entrepreneurs: benefits, norms & incentives

3. The importance of Innovation, Intellectual Property Rights and Entrepreneurship for the faculty and the students respectively

4. How Institute will facilitate the startup activities/ technology development by allowing students/ faculty/ staff to use institute infrastructure and facilities, as per the choice of the potential entrepreneur and to get benefitted from it.

5. To discuss why participation in startup related activities has been considered as a legitimate activity of faculty in addition to teaching, R&D projects, industrial consultancy and management duties and how it would be considered while evaluating the annual performance of the faculty.

6. It will also be a major opportunity to learn from an expert and clear your doubts regarding the startup policy of Santosh Deemed to be University.

The workshop will be facilitated by Mr. Tarun Mehta: Co-Founder/ Partner at Vedya Partners & Advisors and an expert in the matters of Legal Services, Legal Processes and Civil Laws.
