Central Research Facility and Santosh Startups Forum organized an Online workshop on Process of Innovation Development, Technology Readiness Level, Commercialization of Lab Technology & Tech Transfer for the Students of Santosh Deemed to be University on 28th January 2023 at 1:00 PM

The major objective of the workshop was to encourage innovation among student entrepreneurs and innovators and introduce the concept and importance of Technology Transfer and the critical points during which success can be jeopardized either by lack of knowledge, information, resources and/or funding.

The workshop began by addressing the need for innovation development and how the process of innovation development is essential for the growth of the economy. The Speaker Dr Yogmaya Verma discussed on how entrepreneurs can use the process of innovation development to create new products and services and the importance of tech transfer. she also highlighted the role of entrepreneurship in innovation development and how entrepreneurs can use the process of innovation development to bring new products to the market, importance of tech transfer and how it is important to ensure that the technologies are transferred from the labs to the market and the process of innovation development.

The attendees also learned about the importance of technology transfer and the various ways of transferring the technology from the lab to the commercial market. They got to understand the key considerations that need to be considered when transferring the technology and the various mechanisms of technology transfer.

The event was attended by 25 IIC student members.

Outcome: The workshop was quite beneficial for the entrepreneurs as they got to understand the process of innovation development, technology readiness level, commercialization of lab technology and technology transfer. It was a great experience for the attendees as they got to learn about the various aspects of innovation and the ways of successfully implementing the same in their business. The event proved to be very informative and the participants left the workshop with a better understanding of entrepreneurship, innovation and technology transfer.
