AWARENESS WORKSHOP FOR MEDICAL & DENTAL STUDENTS ON “ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND INNOVATION AS CAREER OPPORTUNITY”

To promote the culture of Innovation and Entrepreneurship an awareness workshop has been organised at Santosh Hospital Premises.To guide Senior MBBS students (Interns, 2018 & 2019 batch) on How & Why the Medical Professionals should start their own Startup.

1. The workshop started with the introduction of Santosh Startup Forum, SSF by its newly appointed incubation manager Ms Indu Rani, who also explained to the Medical Students about choosing Entrepreneurship as a Career option in detail and why healthcare sector is an amazing place for aspiring entrepreneurs to explore healthcare business ideas.

2. Keynote speaker Dr Salaj Rana, Director Wavemakers; mentored the students on how to start a business, the role of incubators and presented some interesting perspectives and real life examples. He also briefed them on the EDP course launched by Santosh University and Wavemakers and how to get enrolled on the portal.

3. Our esteemed dean, Dr Jyoti Batra introduced the speakers and the Member of Student IIC team to all the attendees and shed some light on its functioning as well as how SSF, Wavemakers and IIC can help student entrepreneurs in shaping their startups.

4. Head of IIC Mr Arjit Bansal concluded the workshop with a vote of thanks and further motivating the fellow students to start their own.

5. Rajat Chowdhary and Ms Nidhi from team Wavemakers and Dr Sivanesan Deputy Dean Research, Pradhumn Katara, Asst Prof, Santosh University were also present at this workshop.

6. A feedback link has been provided to the students to understand their learning and observation.

Awareness and mind-set building to Sharpen Entrepreneurial Competencies among the MBBS Students. 50 Number of students and 6 number of Teachers participated in the event.
